Engliton is a Neverwinter Night Module Server located under the Role Play heading. You WILL need the game Neverwinter Nights, as well as both expansion packs to play. These games can be acquired by purchasing the "Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition" for $30-40 US. Engliton is a Party-PVP server (PVP is only allowed in the three PVP Areas by mutual consent), and characters are stored in a Server Vault (no local characters allowed). The server also does not incorporate the D&D 3rd Edition Hard Core Rules (HCR). We invite everyone to stop by, make up a character and have fun. Please read and follow the server rules (posted below).

Despite having approximately 300 well-developed zones, the Engliton module is constantly under construction. More zones and quests are being added and tradeskills which allow characters to create their own items/equipment, are well under way. Engliton has zones and quests for all levels, from one to twenty, so there is great growth potential.

The Engliton server also has very active DM's which make sure that the server is up and running, that there are no problems or bugs in the module, as well as interact with the players, giving them custom encounters and quests on the fly. The DM's also take note, and are known to take elements from a character's history, or present actions, and use them to further the overall Engliton story.

Features on the Server:
Server Persistence: Characters are saved in our database. Money can be placed into Banks for safe keeping, items can be placed into bank vaults or cabinets inside houses. Characters' locations are saved, as well as their binding locations. Journal Entries remain persistent with the character, telling which quests have been completed.

Custom (and addictive) Tradeskill System: An all-encompassing trade skill system has been written from the ground up. This system has been in effect for well over two years now. Players can make Weapons, Armor, Clothing, Jewelry and Furniture. RTS is simple to learn, fun and easy!

Player Housing: A new and innovative housing system which allows a player to purchase any style of house blueprint and have it located any place that is available and for sale. This Dynamic Housing system uses database entries to link an address to a housing area. Since the system is completely database driven, no DM intervention is needed to buy a house. In conjunction with the tradeskill system, players can place their own furniture in their house, where ever they'd like. And with the new pet system, you can have a dog, cat, raccoon, or other animals as a pet inside your home.

Custom Ritual Magic System: For those that wish to immerse themselves in the magic, there is a ritual magic system which allows arcane and divine casters to enhance objects, create magical portals, or transform themselves into something completely different. Since this magic system is designed from the ground up, just about any type of effect can be created. Player input is always welcome.

Estate System: How to describe the newest feature of the Engliton Server? This system allows the players to have a direct impact on the lands; for better or worse. With a custom developed application that connects directly into the NWN Server program, we are able to take the load off of the game server and run complex scenarios on the side, and report the results directly back into the game. The Serfs and Resources of each estate is calculated. weather patterns, natural disasters, enemy atacks, plagues and much more are thrown in for flavor, and the estates change. By the players' interaction, the can actually improve and build up an estate from a humble hamlet into a bustling town.
As this system is new, we are still experimenting and adding more features. But since these events are run in a seperate application, the possibilities are almost limitless on how we can run scenarios and insert them directly into the game.

Fair Loot for All: Engliton was the first server to incorporate the first Fair Loot system, where each player is guaranteed something when looting a treasure chest or other container. We're proud to continue this tradition. Fair Loot means no party squabbling over treasure.

Web Interface into the Game: Players on the Engliton Server can enjoy logging onto www.engliton.org to view all their character information, view server statistics, top ten lists, estate reports, maintain their server vault and more.

Custom Faction and Quest System: We have developed a custom system which allows for an unlimited number of factions which all inter-relate with eachother and with the players. Keep killing or attacking goblins, and pretty soon, you will be known by them (and hunted with great fervor). Perform certain quests for a group and your standing with them improves. A detailed questing system is coming online which rewards players, and improves the experience with persistent journal entries.

We would like to acknowledge the following members of the NWN community for their scripts, haks, etc. Without the help of these folk, Engliton would be a much less interesting place!
